I don't play many video games & actual plays are far between. Nature is my current favorite boardgame by far, and I cannot get enough of it. And the online version is Fantastic. I have not enjoyed a video game this much since Portal. The Challenges are awesome, and I have learned so much more about the IRL game by playing these seemingly impossible yet ultimately winnable challenges. My biggest regret is that I will soon run out of Campaign. Rainforest cannot come soon enough! And Climate!!!

This is a great implementation of the Nature board game. While the base game lacks a bit of umph, adding an expansion(s) make it a wonderful game. I love how each expansion changes the feel and strategy, increasing the replay ability. The campaign is fun - many unique challenges compared with regular play. The player ranking level names don't make sense, however - as a wildlife biologist myself the titles definitely don't increase up the ladder in the way they would over a career in biology.

Huge balance issues, especially with carnivores. Campaign becomes a slog with multiple predators (hard and normal), they just keep attacking each other for massive food gain. With defence you can go the whole game never being hunted and still lose by a large amount. Not a fan of gaining species each turn, or gaining back all the size and population you lost last turn (horns actually helps carnis). Feels harder to strategize due to lack of control. Also lack of card variety.

No single strategy is going to work in every match. It's important to adapt and play off your hand and what the other opponents are doing as well. Many of our campaigns and bots have themed strategies. If you can figure them out, you'll be able to choose traits to effectively combat. Every module comes with 11 new traits to try out.
